Isla Mujeres Cemetary
Isla Mujeres Cemetary
Earlier this month I received an email from Gina – an artist from Dallas, TX who loves traveling to Isla Mujeres in Mexico with her husband.

She was looking for inspiration for a piece that she plans to enter into the Dallas Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) art show, and asked if she could use my photo that was posted on this site.

I of course said yes, and upon completion Gina emailed me a picture of her completed watercolor. I think Gina did an excellent job of capturing the color and variety present at the Isla cemetery, and both Kathy and I absolutely love her painting.

I asked Gina if I could share it here, and with her permission here is her painting in its entirety:

If you like it as much as we do please feel free to comment below and I’ll share your comments with Gina. Thanks, and as always happy travels!
